Women’s Provincials
Each year the IFPA holds state and provincial women’s championships the day after the open division championship. The next one is Sunday, January 17, 2027. The venue is not confirmed yet, we will post it here and by email as soon as it is.
There is no entry fee for competitors, fees and prizes are covered by donations, sponsorships, and IFPA player fees. Details on the bracket and prizes will go to qualifiers before the event.
How you qualify
Qualifying runs for the 2026 calendar year. A player’s best 20 Ontario events of each type count toward the standings. There are 16 spots: eight are based on performance in women’s events and eight on performance in open events.
Women’s event qualifiers are the odd-numbered seeds and open event qualifiers are the even seeds. If you qualify through both lists you get the better of the two seeds, and the other list moves down a spot. If someone cannot play, the next player on the same list takes the spot.
You need an email address on your IFPA profile to be invited. Register or update your profile here.
Standings
Seeds 1 to 16 are the field if the season ended today. The rest are alternates, in order. Ranks in brackets are the IFPA ranking for that kind of event, with points.
